The chair is raised and tipped forward by simply pressing one of the buttons on the remote control to help the user get up. When the other button on the remote control is pressed, the chair is lowered, becoming an aid to help the user to sit down. If the button is held down, the backrest is reclined and the footrest is raised, allowing the user to achieve a resting or sleeping position. This armchair has the battery back up feature.
